Artist Biography
Harry Rios is an international cruise ship headliner and pianist, bringing live music to audiences around the world — from grand ballrooms at sea, including engagements aboard Cunard, to sold-out lounges on shore. His playing blends jazz, Latin, and classical traditions into a sound that's as technically dazzling as it is personal.
Raised in New Orleans and shaped by his Puerto Rican heritage, Harry started playing piano at age seven and never stopped. Growing up surrounded by New Orleans jazz — from Ragtime to bebop, ballads to swing — he built a foundation that would carry him through a career spanning classical, jazz, and show tunes. His Puerto Rican roots later led him to blend salsa rhythms with jazz harmony, developing the Latin jazz sound that has become his signature.
Harry holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Stetson University, where he studied under internationally renowned pianist Dr. Michael Rickman as a William E. Duckwitz Talent Scholar and Stetson Piano Scholar.
When he's off the ship, Harry stays active in Central Florida as a private piano instructor, a piano bar entertainer for resorts and corporate events, and the Music Director and Worship Leader for St. Clare Catholic Church in Deltona.
Harry now brings that same New Orleans-to-Caribbean story into schools through Beats Without Borders, an educational assembly and residency program exploring the rhythm that built America.
